Join us as we dive into the fun world of Mixed Media Painting! We’ll use acrylic inks, stencils, daubers, collage elements and more to create your own one of a kind painting. Follow my (Heidi’s) tips and tricks, watching how I do it first! You can follow my example painting or follow your own inspiration with the tools and supplies provided. We’ll have sheets that you can choose from in order to cut and paste powerful affirming messages onto your painting (or use stamps). We’ll focus on how to use the tools provided, exploring with colour, how to work thru “ugly” stages, tips for when you feel intimidated by the process and more. Our goal is to help you to become more comfortable with the mixed media process and to take home a finished painting! We look forward to spending time with you around the Soul Studio Table!!!

Our class example! You’ll cut and paste the words that resonate with you to create a positive affirmation mixed media painting.

Our class example! You’ll cut and paste the words that resonate with you to create a positive affirmation mixed media painting.

This is an example of using similar themes and the same starting points as the first painting, but choosing different colours and a different placement of butterflies. In this example the words were added digitally to the photo. However, you could brush the words on, add stickers (not provided in class), cut and paste words from the handout (provided), or stamp it! I love to give my participants many options so that they can flow with what inspires them.
